About this section

What this section shows and how to use it

This section tracks official Binance announcements about listings and delistings. A new coin appears here before trading starts, and a removal appears before the pair disappears from the terminal.

A listing announcement usually causes a sharp price move on other venues where the coin already trades: being added to the largest exchange means an influx of new audience. A delisting works the other way and often comes with falling liquidity.

We show the fact of the announcement and its time, without guessing where price will go. Market reaction to a listing varies: sometimes the rise starts right after the announcement, sometimes all of it already happened on rumours beforehand.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to price after a listing announcement?

Usually a sharp move follows, but its direction and size are unpredictable. Often the rise happens before the announcement, on rumours, and profit taking starts once it is official.

What is a delisting?

Removal of a pair from trading. The exchange announces it in advance so holders can close positions. After a delisting the coin liquidity usually drops sharply.

Where does the data come from?

From the official announcements of the exchange itself. We do not publish rumours or repeat third-party forecasts.

How quickly does an announcement appear?

We watch announcements continuously, so an entry shows up shortly after it is published on the exchange side.
