Volume ignition
A sharp increase in volume over a short interval combined with a price move - a typical sign of an impulse beginning. A tool that shows pairs at the moment a move starts. Pairs well with the Accumulation section.
About this section
This section catches volume impulses: minutes when volume flowing into a coin is several times higher than usual and price starts moving straight away. A volume spike without price movement usually means large participants reshuffling positions, while volume together with a price shift is money coming in.
The norm is calculated per coin, not for the market as a whole. For a major pair the usual minute turnover is millions of dollars, for a small one it is tens of thousands. So what lands in the feed is not the absolute amount but the excess over the coin own average.
The direction of the impulse shows who is more active: a rise means buyers dominate, a fall means sellers do. An impulse promises no continuation, but it marks the moment money arrived, and what matters next is how price reacts.
What the bot looks for
Within a single minute volume many times greater than usual comes into the coin, and price starts to move immediately. Buying prevails on the way up, on the way down a sell-off has begun.
Volume + a simultaneous price shift = funds have come in and a movement is likely beginning. Up - buying prevails, down - a sell-off is under way. The movement may continue or turn out to be a one-off - the decision is yours.
Frequently asked questions
Money flowing into the instrument. If volume rose along with price, buyers are more active than sellers. If volume is there but price is flat, large participants are most likely reshuffling positions.
An absolute number means nothing without scale: a million dollars on bitcoin is an ordinary event, while on a small pair it can move price several percent.
Look at the coin daily turnover. On low-turnover pairs a spike is arranged by a single large trade, and such a move usually retraces just as fast.
No. It marks that money arrived in the instrument. The decision comes from the whole picture: where price is relative to levels, what funding looks like, whether the next candle confirms.
